Various examples of publishing work including magazines, catalogues and leaflets.
I created this identity for the launch of a new range of all natural pampering products for mums and babies. The identity needed to work on its own as well as with ‘Baby’ & ‘Mummy’ add-ons when required. The Boo Boo Baby packaging design combines cute & cuddly with a vintage style.

Corporate literature
Launched in 2008 this unique format reinvents itself every issue to showcase a new CBeebies brand or theme. A challenging yet rewarding magazine to work on. Many of the brands featured had never appeared in print before so each new issue began with a blank canvas, no groundhogs here! The gift spend was huge so lots of fun to be had creating the next must-have toy set. Click through the images to see some of the highlights.

London store promotional cards. What started as a simple flier job ended up as this rather fetching set of die-cut folding cards with a UV varnish and spot colour. Fun, fun!

Christmas campaign 2011
I designed and launched CBeebies Animals magazine in 2008 to compliment CBeebies Weekly Magazine. The magazine showcases animal themed shows from the CBeebies channel as well as featuring animals from the real world both ‘in my patch’ and ‘far, far away’. I re-designed it in 2010 after research revealed that the readership was mostly girls. Softer shapes, pastel tones, cute patterns, fabric textures and an abundance of kittens got sales back on track in no time at all!

Identity & Literature. This little family firm facilitates the building of oil and gas rigs! Crazy stuff. A very sensible design solution was required. The main challenge was to design a brochure that could be re-printed in 4 different languages but with only one plate change… go me.
In 2006 I spent a good few months locked away in a cupboard developing this ground-breaking little number for the pre-school market. When I was finally let out of the cupboard I found that all the hard work had been worth it and CBeebies Weekly had become the No.1 selling kids magazine – hooray! It was unique because it was the first weekly kids mag to be TV listings sensitive and have a free gift and activity linked stickers every week! Did I mention that it was a weekly?
My first Art Editor job – huzzah! What a lot of fun it was too. Hobnobbing with the latest squeaky-clean teen bands and conjuring up all sorts of daft ideas for photo shoots.

Development of regular feature pages for the launch of Bin Weevils magazine. Work included creation of templates and page furniture with a striking look but with enough flexibility to enable creative monthly roll-out. See slide 4 for examples of headline lockups. Magazine aimed at age 7+ children and launched to compliment the Bin Weevils online experience.
